Blush Leopard Silk

The history of silk began in the 27th century BC. According to Confucius, a silk cocoon fell into the tea of the 14 year old empress Leizu. As she pulled the wet cocoon from her cup, a fine thread began to unwind. Her husband, the Yellow Emperor, encouraged her to weave it and to teach her court to raise silk worms.

A few countries throughout history have had fleeting success producing silk, but to this day the finest silk still comes from China. This pillow is made from lustrous Chinese silk, designed and imported by an American textile mill with ties to the original silk road through its beginnings as an Italian silk weaver.

Such a gorgeous shade of pale pinky-peach with a subtle shimmer. The perfect partner for soft neutrals.
