This pillow is faced with a French block printed quilt fragment from 1830. Small hand darns, and hand stitched quilting speak of a previous well-lived life. The colors have faded to mellow mustard gold and sepia with violet accents. Originally a pelmet, we chose to back this with and antique hemp, also from France. This piece is worn in spots but still strong in character and authenticity, a perfect addition for the true French textile aficionado.
